TV Ads for Border Patrol Agents

February 20, 2007 / by jackshoss

Tim,

Today, Grassfire is announcing to the national media that
we are launching a hard-hitting national TV and radio ad
campaign calling on the President to pardon imprisoned
agents Ramos and Compean.

One of the leading political ad agencies in the country
has partnered with Grassfire to produce these ads. I'd
like you to be among the first to see the ads. Go here:

+ + First ads airing in D.C.

Earlier today, we finalized arrangements for the first ad
buy -- a series of spots airing in the Washington, D.C.,
market to reach the President and members of Congress.  We want to put
these ads right under the nose of the
President!

Tim, this all came together in just a few days
and I had to step out and make a commitment on behalf
of Grassfire to get this campaign launched. Now, I
need your help to fund this first phase and get these
ads airing across the country.

Will you make a gift of any amount to help Grassfire
air these ads and continue other vital efforts? Go here:

+ + A true grassroots effort

Again -- this all developed very rapidly. Our friends at
RapidReponse Media saw what Grassfire was doing, rallying
hundreds of thousands of citizens urging the President
to pardon agents Ramos and Compean. They wanted to put
their media skills to work in this battle and asked if
we would partner with them to get a grassroots media
campaign launched.

We agreed. Now, all we need is your help so we can
jump-start this effort.

Steve Elliott, President
Grassfire.org Alliance

P.S. Our staff has been in contact with both the Ramos
and Compean families today. We are expecting an update
from Mrs. Ramos on a rally that took place this weekend
in El Paso.

Also, America's Most Wanted again featured this case,
along with the case of Johnny Sutton’s other victim --
Gilmer Hernandez. For more on that airing and to read
Mrs. Compean's and Mrs. Ramos' blogs, go here:
